Flex-On Aluminium Stirrups
Description
The Flex-On Aluminium is the brand's signature stirrup and the one you see on the biggest tracks. Hot-forged from solid aluminium, so it is light in the hand and very hard to flex. Shock-absorbing elastomers take the hit out of every landing before it reaches your ankles, knees, hips and back.
The difference riders feel: the aluminium frame supports the footbed at four points instead of two. Coming down hard off a big fence, the footbed does not move. That is why serious jumping and eventing riders choose this one.
Choose your footbed and tread
- Inclined footbed — angled so your heel drops and your leg stays still. The usual choice for jumping. If an angled footbed has given you ankle or calf tension before, go flat.
- Flat footbed — the traditional feel. Usually chosen for dressage and flatwork.
- Grip tread — a textured surface. Plenty for everyday riding.
- Ultra Grip tread — adds stainless steel studs. It keeps gripping even when the footbed picks up sand and grit. Most of our customers choose Ultra Grip.

Common questions
Is it worth $135 more than the Composite?
If you jump bigger tracks or event, yes. The four-point footbed support is a real difference on hard landings. If you ride flat, hack and jump smaller, the Composite does the same job for less.
Will aluminium bend or corrode?
It is hot-forged, not cast, which is what gives it the strength. Rinse and dry as you would any iron.
Do they fit my normal stirrup leathers?
Yes. Standard eye, standard leathers.
