Description

The Tucci Sofia combines a timeless tall riding boot design with modern performance and construction. Its clean lines and high Spanish top create the elegant look preferred in the hunter and equitation rings, while its technical construction, secure fit and durability have also made it a favorite among top jumper riders.

Made in Italy from premium Italian calf leather, the Sofia offers an excellent balance between softness and substance. The leather is supple and comfortable while remaining thick enough to hold the shape of the boot and resist overstretching. This durability makes the Sofia especially well suited for professional riders riding multiple horses each day, as well as amateur riders looking for a boot that will withstand years of regular riding.

The Sofia has a close, fitted shape through the foot and ankle for a refined appearance and secure feel. When needed, specific areas of the boot can also be professionally stretched to better accommodate the rider and improve the overall fit.

Modern technical details include a rear elastic panel that adapts to the leg, double stitched stress points, a lightweight technical sole for comfort and grip, and Tucci's reinforced rear zipper with a secure locking closure designed to prevent the zipper from sliding down while riding.

Tucci boots are trusted by riders competing at the highest levels of the sport, including Nick Haness, Shane Sweetnam, Nayel Nassar, Tiffany Foster, Scott Brush and Gregory Wathelet.

Product Care

Zipper: Align the zipper teeth as straight as possible. Stretch the elastic panel toward the other side so the zipper forms train tracks, not a wide V. Zip slowly, inch by inch, to the top. As the boots stretch, they become easier to zip.
Leather: Wipe boots after every ride. Once dry and clean, apply a thin layer of Tucci Cream or quality conditioner. Avoid oily products, which can over soften and weaken leather.
Storage: Keep boots dry and ventilated. Use boot trees to keep them tall.

Tucci size guide · Tall boots

MALVERNSADDLERY

Step 1 — how to measure

Wear the riding breeches and socks you normally ride in. Take all measurements while standing.

Calf: Measure both legs around the widest part of the calf, checking a few different spots to find the true widest point. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and snug, but do not pull it tight.
Height: Bend your knee slightly and measure from the crease behind your knee to the floor. Tip: pull your socks up to where you'd like the back of the boot to sit, then measure from the top of the sock to the floor.
Boot height: Add 1 cm (⅜ inch) to your height measurement to compensate for the boot to drop in height with wear.

Step 2 — pick your shoe size

Select your shoe size, then find your height in the left column and the calf range that includes your measurement. The cell where they meet is the size code to order.
