Kavalkade Remus Oiled Leather Half Chaps
Description
Half chaps should protect your legs and improve your contact with the saddle without feeling stiff or shifting while you ride. The Kavalkade Remus Oiled Leather Half Chaps are made from robust, naturally tanned cowhide treated with vegetable oils for a supple feel and lasting durability. The textured leather provides extra grip against the saddle, while its natural patina gives each pair a distinctive appearance. This variation is characteristic of the oiled leather and is not a defect.
A full-length rear metal zipper makes the chaps easy to put on, while the elastic panel follows the calf for a close, comfortable fit. Snap closures at the top and bottom help keep the zipper secure throughout your ride. The classic shape provides a polished appearance while helping protect your lower legs from rubbing and pinching caused by stirrup leathers.

How to Measure
- Wear your usual riding breeches and socks while measuring.
- Lower leg length: Measure from the floor up the side of your leg to the crease behind your knee.
- Calf circumference: Measure around the widest part of your calf with your knee slightly bent, as if you were in the saddle.
- Fit allowance: Add 1/3" to your height measurement to compensate for the chap dropping in height with wear.
SIZE KEY: W = wider calf, WW = extra-wide calf, L = longer height and LL = extra-long height.
