Rider Safety is and always has been our priority.  Be sure to follow these tips compiled from our partners at Charles Owen & Tipperary for insuring that your helmet is providing optimal protection for every ride.

It's time to replace your helmet if:

  • 3-5 years: You have had your helmet between 3-5 years depending on how often you ride.
  • Impact Incident: Your helmet has been involved in a fall, forceful contact from a 'close call' or has been dropped. Equestrian helmets are designed for single impact and should be replaced immediately after any impact incident.
  • Fit: Riders who have grown or even changed their hairstyle may need to be fitted for a new helmet.  Proper fit is essential to any helmets ability to protect riders.
  • Visual Check: If your helmet has been damaged, dropped or cracked you must replace your helmet immediately. Not all damage is visible and your helmet could be comprised after any impact event.
